Here’s a spicy breakdown of who’s legally required to show you the money:

🔥 Already in Effect:

  • California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, Washington, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont & DC (could be more by now!)
  • These states aren’t playing. They’ve had transparency rules in place—and yes, that includes pay ranges in the job postings. Employers can’t dodge it.

🧾 Massachusetts:

They’re not just sharing pay ranges—they want annual wage data reports too. Accountability looks good on them.
