When workers lack needed training/ coaching, businesses experience skills gaps. A company’s ability to retain workers, grow and prosper can be compromised. Florida’s Incumbent Worker Training grants can help. The program provides grants for continuing education and training of current full-time employees at Florida companies (and new hires with 6 months on the job). With a focus on helping Florida’s small businesses, the grants reimburse companies up to 75% for pre-approved training costs. Companies choose their training provider based on the skills needed. Applying is easy and approval is quick.
The HR Lady LLC. is pre-approved. There are many other technical and non technical unique/ custom training options available.
Finding talented applicants to fill new, high-quality jobs can be difficult. (The HR Lady can help with recruiting too!) Quick Response funds businesses like yours to implement flexible and customized training for your new, full-time, permanent employees. Available to new and expanding companies in Florida’s booming business market, Quick Response Training provides funds to create specialized training specifically for your high-skill industry. Grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Most of these grants cover 50% of the trainer costs.
There are 5 types of grants (in Florida): Employed Worker, Incumbent Worker, Quick Response, Vet Incumbent Worker and Vet Quick Response.
Florida Makes helps select industries write the grant application (at no cost) as well as find trainers.
Most grants are for 12 months. Some are for 24 months. Companies are limited to applying once per cycle (12/24) so be sure to apply for all training needs at the same time. All grants are first come, first serve.
